I feel sorry for you California guys....

Yesterday i took my 930 out for the last ride this year. (winter is coming) The temperature was between -2 to 0 degrees Celsius thats 28 to 32 Farenhait. I must say it was like i had a new engine, feels like i got 100hp more.. and the sound from the engine... indescribable.. "at least something is positive in this cold country" Last outdoor-pic for this year:

Just the opposite here in Phoenix. It's getting to be the good weather for us, although it was 100 degrees F today ! Mine sees more garage time in the summer, when the car A/C is marginal at 115 ambient (46 C).

Even better is all bundled up, heat on and and the top off so you can stop and look up once in a while.

Bob's Flat-Six: OK, the pic shows the late spring we have now, but in a couple of weeks all will be white. And i call it winter. Here's last year winter.... "Brr..."

No kidding. Weather is perfect here, virtually all year (if you like cool, rainy winters). I notice the same thing. Summer is over, with those 80-degree days. Now, temps are in the fifties, down to the thirties, and that's basically how it will stay until spring. the cooler air makes my car happy, and that is easy to sense when you drive the thing every day like I do. And even humidity seems to play a role. At times, our air here is completely saturated. 100+ percent humidity. Cold, damp air. She likes that. And when she's happy, I'm happy.

seasons? we've got seasons. There is early summer, summer, late summer, and 14 hours of winter. Right now we are struggling with the challenges presented by late summer. Going to work when it is 80 degrees at the beach (and 100 inland) take serious resolve, grit, and determination. I don't think you snowbelt guys really understand the hardships that we face... I'm reminded of Lewis Black's rant on the easiest/stupidest job in the world: TV weatherman in San Diego: "well Bob, how's the weather look?" "nice....back to you Phil." | ||

LOL! Reminds me of the scene in "LA Story" where Steve Martin is the weatherman. Funny Movie. My Favorite line: Steve Martin - "Your breasts, they feel different..." Sarah Jessica Parker - "That's because they are real." Back to the weather topic: I was in Albany yesterday - alternating between rain and snow flakes. I'm not sure I own an umbrella not on the side of a golf bag...

That car is sweet. But while that car is stored when the snow hits, I will be driving all my cars when and where I like. My turbo saab does like it when it's cold though. Cold here is 40.

I guess it is that time of year, when the whining starts from the east coast crowd about putting their cars away for the winter. Out in California we have our own winter problems. For example, do I go from 30SPF to 18SPF sun screen now or wait until November? Do I keep the targa top in the garage or actually put it in the trunk in case I need it? Life is good in California!
