MSD for '79 Turbo Rookie Questions
 

Will the MSD 6AL/MSD Coil work on an otherwise stock '79 930? Will the over boost switch and run on relay still operate?

Does the 20 degrees of spark cause detonation problems?

Anyone running this ignition on a Turbo?

I am going to hook up the msd 6btm(w/boos control) in the next couple of weeks. I am also going to use the MSD timing box so that the msd will run the whole thing. It is going into my 2.7 Turbo.

I have had the MSD setup on my car for 2 years. No problems. The overboost sw. is not related so it works and I assume the run on relay would work also but I don't have one. The only hard part is fitting the unit in.

I run an MSD 6AL with blasterII coil. No problems.
