Cold cold start day?

Haven't driven my car since New Year's, wondering if it's a good idea to start it today on a cold day, vs. waiting for some sun and a relatively warmer (40-45) day? Would the engine be too tight to start now? Oil too thick? Or is it better to do it anyway?

Not sure about your vintage, but I routinely start up my car in sub-zero temperatures. It whines and creaks for the first few minutes, but other than that I feel better in the cold than I feel at 90F in a traffic jam (=California). Lightweight oil helps.
