Hey all

Thought I'd say hello having just bought my first 911 today and moved over from the 944 forum, she is a 1989 LHD sport with sunroof, cruise and full leather which has covered just under 170000Kms in what appears to be very good condition having 3 PO's and a good service history allthough mostly in German! going to get it serviced asap to be sure though.

Not the best weather here today unfortunately so it was straight in the garage for now but can't wait to give her a spin in the week certainly feels different to the 944S2 she's replaced not helped by the fact that i sit on trhe wrong side now!! but I'm sure i'll get used to it.
Will have lots of questions I'm sure but need to go over her properly first I do however know that the sun roof cable in snapped or unattached so if anyone has any experience of this any info would be gladly accepted also does anyone know if you can get polish or touch up for the slate grey leather as there are a few scuffs and scraches?.

lookin forward to using this forum chating to you all.

Cheers Paul

Ps would post a pic but there all to bigger files I will soon as I work out how to change them.

Hi great to see the UK numbers increasing. SmileWavy
I also swapped over from a 944 to a 911. Handling wise there is definitely a different technique to driving the 911 and it takes a while to build up to the easy confidence the 944 gives you, but it’s a good excuse for track days!

Welcome:

Don't have much to say about your car except that LHD in a RHD world can be exciting. Try Lexol (do you have that in the UK) or Connelly hide food on the leather.

Welcome! Some people recomend shoe polish for restoring color to seats, but I've tried it and it does not last long? Try Leatherique.com for some good recommendations. Good luck!
