911 live electrical in engine compartment??

Is there a "live" area in the engine room of the 911? I want to put an additonal fan on my trunk lid on my 73.5 and don't intend to run all the way to the front battery and back, and the fans don't run on energizers

Is there any "live" hooups in back for 12v?

There is a fuse block in the engine compartment on the left side with 3 fuse locations. Only one or two of the fuses are being used. I am referencing my own car so a 73.5 may not have that.

Why are you putting a fan back there?

I have a '77, so the rear fuse plate is probably slightly different, but the rear end of the top fuse is run directly from Battery +. I use it to hook up my timing light when I need it. I also manage to short out the battery on occasion when I'm trying to adjust the valves...

You could easily add a fuse back here. Just make sure that there IS a fuse in series with whatever wiring you do - leaving this out could allow you to burn up your wiring harness, or worse.
