Help translating VIN #
I am not up to speed on 89 and newer 911 cars. Can someone tell me exactly what this 911 is? I believe it's a 1994 carrera 2 or 4 , but don't know if it is a coupe or Targa,or what.
Here is the VIN# WPOCB2961RS4655107 |

Rick,
Could you check the number again. You have listed 18 digits and there should be 17 digits in the VIN. The 13th digit tells you the body type. If the serial number is 5107, is the 13 digit a '6' or '5'? A '6' would be a US Targa.

Looking at Morgan's book, that VIN is for a '94 964 US Speedster. The serial numbers for those are 5001-5469. The US Cabs are serial numbers 0001-0283. The first 13 characters are the same for US Cabs and Speedsters. Did '94 Speedsters have 4-wheel drive? According the fifth character 'B' is 4-wheel drive. Hope that helps.
