Questions for PMO carb users...
What are the cold start characteristics of the PMO carbs? Do you have to wait a while before you can drive? My CIS is driving me crazy with the cold start issue. I'm looking for some feedback from those of you with PMOs on a street machine. I know that CIS can be made to work really well, but I am curious of the alternatives. My car runs fairly rough until warm, then it runs great. Can the PMOs be set up to work better than CIS on a daily driver?

Is your WUR working on your CIS? Mine runs a little rough for about a mile or two, but I'm also using a hand throttle. I just live with it until things warm up.
PMOs are quite an expensive outlay for CIS that runs a little rough for the first few miles... |

Maybe you might look into used Webers, or how about Zeniths? Solexes? I don't know...
Well working CIS has its advantages. I do know this: trying to find a working CIS system to replace an existing one has been an utter *****! |
Kemo, fix your CIS cold start problems and save the money for something else.

I would think real hard about buying into old Webers over CIS to solve any issue on a everyday driver.
You could rebuild the CIS and have a no maintanance or start issues for pennys in comparison. The PMOs will give you some fun things but cold start isn't going to be one. Well, that is what I have been told anyway. I too had a miserable CIS until it was tuned properly. Now it is a real pleasure to work with. |

I have no cold weather problems with my PMO conversion. However, cold around here is 40 degrees.
