torsion bar sizes
Is there any way to determine the size of the aftermarket torsion bars in my car without taking them out?

Huh??
I want to know what the non-stock bars are that are in the car now. Maybe you are telling me to back-calculate an approximation based on the car's wt. and the droop in the spring plate -- if so, I don't think that will be very accurate. |

Call the PO and ask.
![]() Ok, but seriously, I don't think there's a way to tell without taking a springplate off.

I haven't done it, but that's how I would do it... calculate back to the torsion bar size. But to get at the droop, you'll need to remove just about all but three of the spring plate cover bolts. So, you may as well, remove the last three and pull the spring plate or call the PO.

THe d$&&% thing is, I had it all apart 2 years ago to renew all the rubber parts -- but I didn't check the sizes then.
