dbraunser,

Many of the DIN 'ice cube' relays are of the 'N.O.' [normally open contacts] configuration ... and have two #87 terminals, with the second terminal in the 'normal' #87a position, connected in parallel, internally. Aftermarket fog/driving lamp relays at a typical auto parts store are a good example.

The PCNA publication Parts Catalog and Technical Reference, published in December 1995 shows most common relays and pinouts, and should show all of the applicable relays for an SC/Carrera.

Pardon my noobness but here's a wierd one. I can hear the relay "click" when I pull up on the red lever between the seats. However, the fan inside the engine compartment isn't going. Could this be a bad relay or a bad fan?? Please help......Thanks

the engine fan has a simple 2 pin plug connection in the fan harness about 10in from the fan
