relay for horn?
Would a 1975 911 have a relay for the horn? And where would it be located?
My horn, cig. lighter, and radio suddenly stopped working, yet all fuses appear good, and wiggling or cleaning them does not help. It makes me think there is a realy that controls all those circuits. Also, would this '75 (which used to have CIS) have a relay for the CIS system that I could pull and use? It still uses the stock fuel pump but has been converted to carbs -- any spare relays anywhere? Thanks! |

Randy, the horn relay on my '75 is the one on the right (toward the front of the car) in the picture.
My '75 does not (did not) have a fuel pump relay. All the current went through the ignition switch. I wired in new relays to control the two pumps for the Turbo engine. I think there might have been a change midyear in terms of the fuel pump relay. Mine is an early '75, with the stock pump location in back and 4-bolt CVs. EDIT - there is one other CIS related relay on mine - the WUR relay in the engine bay. But yours might be long gone because of the carb install. Hope this helps. ![]()
