Where can you buy relay sockets (needed for H4s)

I'm installing H4's in my car and am planning on using the 80/100W bulbs. From reading past posts, I now realize that I need to install relays so I don't fry my wires.

Quick question: I see that Pelican sells the actual relays, but where can I get the sockets to plug the relays into?

Thanks...

Try this guy, he sells an H4 conversion relay kit for around 20 bucks. msucro@rennlist.com

Andy,

You can find a socket on the 12 Volt relay page at:

The Sucro kit is great, and comes with detailed instructions. Worth the money, IMHO.

Best 20 bucks I ever spent.

Another vote from a happy user of the Sucro relay kit.

I used the kind that mount to the body--then the relays plug into them. They are single bases, which slide into each other so you can put as many side-by-side as you need. Sourced from Waytek Wire. I think they sell the other kind, too.

Thanks everybody. Haven't decided who I'll get the sockets from, but I certainly have choices now. Thanks again...

Are the 2 relays all you need to use higher powered 80/100W bulbs? I thought you would have t re-wire the lights ans possible even use a better bulb holder????

From what i've read, increasing the wire size (smaller gauge) is a wise thing to do when using higher wattage bulbs. That's what I did. I got my Ancor marine grade wire from Boat U.S.

I will second what Rally Jon said. Waytek Inc. is a great source for electrical supplies. Relays (Bosch), terminals, sheathing, heatshrink, good crimp tools, wire, circuit breakers,............ good quality stuff. Their customer service is outstanding. Everything is individually packaged and double-checked for accuracy. Great operation in my opinion. Good online catalog and printed catalog too.

Thanks for the info Kevin. I'm gathering together the neccessary bits (both hardware & info) to utilise bigger bulbs.
