Well, having just read all of the above, I'm leaning toward the Webers and SSI. Why? I have a good situation. I have the Webers and SSI's in the '74 engine that's coming out. Both engines will be out of the car for easy work. The new engine is a '78, so I have the right distributer. I love the subjective stuff, such as the sound and the throttle response. I like the clean look in the engine bay of a 1970 911E. Cold starts on the coast of CA are not an issue. The list goes on. I'm with Chuck on this one. Anybody want to buy a CSI unit? How about a torn down, worn out '74 2.7L?

If that's not your situation then maybe the booster to hose rubber fitting is dried out.......Ron |

I love carbs even thou it's not as efficent thru the rpm band.. Then again WOT is WOT no matter what's used. My fantasy would be for Superman to fly behind my car with a 55 gal drum dumping metered fuel right into the intakes. So I'm gonna be carb possessed pretty soon.....Ron |
