Trim Rings...headlights
Well, the lens finally found a stone travelling at highway speed. Looks like the old H5's are gonna go.
Question: do the H5 trim rings fit with the H4's? I don't want to have to match 13 year old paint to fit the new lights.

The euro H4s come with two types of rings....chrome and the apintable ones...dunno if they interchange with the H5 rings....

I know the ol factory chrome looking rings on my 75 are nothing like the rings that came with my H4's.

I do not think they interchange. The black rings are paintable, but if you don't go chrome, you're much better off getting the trim ring covers, which come in primer and will cover up the adjusting screws. Then you just leave the black rings black and cover them up.
They aren't cheap, but you should be able to find them for about $40 each.

Once you decide on the trim ring style and replace your headlight lenses, protect your lenses with a thick optically clear protective film like Stongard.
