looks like a 962 head/cylinder assembly to me. It's air cooled at the cylinder and water at the head and electron beam welded between the two sections.

Doug Zielke 11-06-2003 05:50 PM

Motorcycle engine. Italian. MV Agusta? Mondial?

HawgRyder 11-06-2003 06:14 PM

Head and cylinder all one piece....4 valves....studs for dual overhead cams....central plug position...
Hmmmm...I go with Doug....motorcycle...Italian....maybe in the 50's or 60's.....Ducati?

I like Tim's answer best, ditto.

cegerer 11-06-2003 06:18 PM

Man, you guys are no fun. Tim's right - it's from a 962. And it's for sale, complete with jammed valves!

I'm going to side with Tim here.
It looks like a 956/962 watercooled cylinder head electron beam welded to the cylinder.

Andrew M
