Disassembly of H1 headlight
I am trying to disassemble an H1 headlight, anyone done this before?? My question goe's to the screw with the long cable adjuster on it, will this come apart??
My goal is to have the trim rings rechromed, I need to get it completely apart, thanks for any help. Craig C. Laughlin

Craig--I just went through this on my H1 restoration. This long adjuster cable and screw will come apart. I tried using a vice grip on the square side and a pliers with peice of leather to protect the threads on the other first. This didnt work so I heated up the area a bit and it eventually came apart. If this won't work for you just take it to the shop that does the rechroming and I'd bet they've taken these apart before and can do it.
