what a dream
installed my speed bleeders this weekend and did a complete flush of the brake system. it was hands down the easiest brake bleed ever. better than a pump to draw, better then getting the girlfriend out to pump (have you ever not had to yell at her when she helps do this?). this has caused at least one fight with the sweet thing of the moment in my garage.
i would recommend these to anyone that bleeds their brakes often, they are the $h!+.

A Motive pressure bleeder works great, too. I've had bad luck with speed bleeders leaking after time, and stopped using them on my Audi. I haven't bled the brakes on the 911 yet, but the Motive bleeder I use on the S4 makes it a very easy one-man job.

Yes have heard good things about the speed bleeders.
They are on the project list. Motive bleeder? darn, I guess I better do some research on it. There goes my productivity for the day.

Where did they leak from the threads? they recommend reapplying a pipe dope sort of product that comes on them new. they did not seem to thread in as far as the OEM set.
i have a brake bleeder pump affair, not a motive but another brand. it seemed to work good but the seal on the nipple was not so good. the air that leaked in made it appear that there was air still in the line.

Gotta luv the Speed Bleeders! Have used them for a couple of trouble-free years now. Yep, the pipe dope is necessary, especially if you remove them all the way during a caliper rebuild. Otherwise, you only need 1/8-1/4 turn to get them working.
