Boycott the Hockenheim Pullovers!

I hearby call for a formal BOYCOTT of the Hockenheim Pullovers PP sells.

These pullovers are made by blind 5 yr olds in the Congo.

Plus, I've been trying to order one for like two or three years and they are AL W A Y S on backorder.

Will you SOBs stop buying them all up so I can get one???

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hello Sir!

Allow me to introduce myself; I am Abu Nogooda, sone of the late Napupu Nagooda, Minister of Sight and Labor of the Republic of Congo, who recently met an untimely death in an accident involving a Thai prostitue and an elephant. I am now living in exile in Elbonia, and need your assistance in exporting 1000 (one thousand) Hockenheim Pullovers which are my rightful inheritance. For your part in this transaction, which is perfectly legal, I offer you 10 Hockenheim pullovers...

"Of course I will require additional funds to consummate the shipment of the Hockenheim Pullovers as well as to make payoffs to certain high-ranking members of the Government of Elbonia with whom I am acquainted. Accordingly, I am requesting that you wire transfer in immediately available funds to an account of my designation the sum of Eighty Thousand U.S. Dollars to accomplish the first step of our plan.

You would, of course, be entitled to fifty percent of the profits from the sale of the Hockenheim Pullovers. I have already made contact with an American Air Force Officer who is willing to take the entire shipment as soon as it arrives stateside."

When you get your pullover, I'll buy it from you. A friend in your state owes me money, so he'll send you a cashier's check for $17,000. Please cash the check, then send me the shirt and a money order for $16,500. You can keep the $500 as an "administrative fee."

Aren't you aware of the "plot" to corner the market on Hockenheim pullovers? I thought everyone knew....

AND DEMOCRACY WORKS!!!!

See, this is why the civil rights movement worked so well...
Gentlemen, in less than 12 hours of boycotting..... my order has been shipped.

Some of you might say I "jumped the gun"... but I say... well, ok, I jumped the gun.
But, FINALLY, I get a pullover.

...and in the end, it isn't how you get the pullover... it's all the stupid things you did to get the pullover that counts.

Thanks to all of you, countless children will keep their jobs.

Wayne has turned off the IMG coding on signature files to save bandwith, Leland. It's probably for the best, despite the eye candy this BBS could produce.

Leland,

What a hoot! My wife tried to buy one on these for me two years ago at my birthday. Guess what? They were on back order!

Thanks for the laugh of the day!

My wife tried to buy me the "varsity" jacket from "Porsche Select" (relax Wayne, it wasn't Pelican), a few years ago, as a Christmas present. I won't go into how entirely screwed up the whole thing became, but she started the purchase in August, came to me and explained the fiasco in early December, we finally got both (wrong, separately delivered) jackets returned and the credit card charge (for 2 jackets) refunded. Now when the little "Porsche Select" catalogue arrives in the mail, she holds it up to me, and in the same motion deposits it in the waste basket. In fact, for awhile, when she became annoyed with someone, her favorite comment was "and they probabably work for "Porsche Select".

Waynes prices at Pelican are better, and there's no comparison to the service and ability to browse the products on-line, but for hard-to-get items, you may try Park Place Porsche in TX.... We've had luck on those rare items there...

Leland, there were a couple of them hanging on the rack at Larson's Porsche in Tacoma near McChord AFB.
