New Tachometer needed, have anyone try autometers gauge?

I need a new Tachometer and the original one's is too expensive i think and i really want one with recording and shiftlite.

So i have looked at automeeters gauges is it better to go for a modern 5" VDO instead??

All this IMO.

Autometer are good, but ricey/hotrod looking. Shift light is cool. Recording is, I believe, expensive. In fact, Autometer is expensive end of story.

I would have thought your Porsche tach could be fixed reasonably cheaply. I've had a BMW tach fixed for ~US$75, and my friend had a Lotus one fixed for the same $$$.

I have had the insides from an SC tach swapped to a '69 tach for about US$30.

What is actually wrong with your current one?
