OEM paint?
I looked in the Pelican catalog, but couldnt find it...so I purchased some Guards Red touch up from the dealer. Cost me $18 for that little tube.
If someone has a better source for OEM paint, please PM me! Wayne, if you guys offer Guards Red, please let me know too! I couldnt find it here. Gracias. ![]() |

Try your local bodyshop. Had some mixed up for free very recently - and the quantity I was given was probably 5 times what you get in a normal touch up stick - and it was matched to my car.

www.paintscratch.com is great and they guarantee their paint to match. You can get touch up bottle and spray can.

www.towerpaint.com will match or provide stock # paint for less than paint scratch. I've used them three time and I'm very happy with the results.

Touch up paint isn't really "OEM" paint, in that even if you buy it from Porsche, it isn't the same paint that is on the car.
Touch up paint is lacquer - they use it because it dries fast. Unless you have a really, really old Porsche, the paint on the car isn't lacquer. Any paint shop can mix up some lacquer for you in the stock color, if you give them the color code. |

Thanks fellas for the tips. I plan to repaint the front and rear valances after knocking out some dings and will need more than just touch up paint but it has to be accurate Guards Red.

The Glasurit that I used to repaint my SC cost $280 a gallon (including hardener and solvent), so there is at least a modicum of a reason why touchup costs $18 a tube...though it certainly isn't anywhere near the real thing, being only a premixed one-component paint.
