Help With New Tires To Fit Fuch 15x7 15x8

I need new tires on my 1975 Carrera. I have 15x7, and 15x8 fuchs. Current tires are original style P6 pirelli Front: 195 / 60 R Rear: 215 / 60 R15. (These are complete JUNK...)

What are the best size and brand for performance on my car. What will fit the best. Please share your comments.

Thanks
Eric

For street use B.S. So-3, Dunlop SP9000, Kumho Ecsta in 205/50 and 225/50 are the best of a limited lot.

205/55-15s up front won't look so lonely in the wheel well. Click my sig for pics of 205/55-15 F and 225/50-15 R.

Yes, those were the sizes that came oem on my C3. You can get the car very low and handling very well with that setup.

I found it very difficult to find high performance 15" tires. I finally found that Yokohama still makes some but will probably need to vary the sizes. Might be a good time to start looking for a nice set of 16" wheels. Much better range of tire choices for the 16" rims.

Yokahoma and Toyo probably make some decent tires in those sizes, I just have no experience w/ them and so never mention them.
