I saw these while cruising Ebay. Anyone seen them like this before?

Judging from the lug-spacing, I'd say they're meant for Beetles.

Jack Olsen 11-11-2003 07:15 PM

I don't know if I'd even call them copies.

Todd Simpson 11-11-2003 07:37 PM

I couldn't find the original auction, but I'd have to agree they look like they have the wide 5 bolt pattern of early beetles and 356's.

Two words: BUTT UGLY

island911 11-11-2003 08:38 PM

hmmm, "BUTT UGLY" and "meant for Beetles" .. . . "BUGGLY" ?

They look like the wheels off an NSU RO80. It was a rotary engined car, with 3 speed sporto transmission made in the mid 70s. NSU was owned by VW at that time. The rims were made by Fuchs

Nick,

Beat me to it.

BTW Fuchs make other wheels for VW etc.
I had Le Castelet forged alloys on a MK1 Golf and hey presto they were made by Fuchs.....

Yes Nick, you are right!

These wheels in the auction are posted as being 5/130mm.

I thought they were interesting and worthy of mention.

another, better picture:
