How to stick the engine size badge to grille?

I just received my 2.7 chrome badge from Pelican Parts yesterday - thanks Wayne! :)

This badge gets stuck onto the deck lid grille on the right hand side usually. The note that comes with it states that it should be stuck on using double-sided tape.

Now, I'm wondering what people use here to stick their engine size badges onto the grille with. My feeling is that double-sided tape wouldn't be strong enough to hold it in place, especially at high speeds. Plus my grille is attached to an electric spoiler, so the badge would need to be stuck on quite well as it would be under some force.

Any suggestions or advice?

Yeah, the factory engine size emblem is attached w/double sided tape, but as I'm into aerodynamics (and obviously not originality), I carved a matching slot in the plastic grill to lower the emblem out of the airstream. :) Really. However, DS tape (black) is plenty sufficient.

You have a 964 tail? If so, I think you're going to need to come up with something different than taping it down. If memory serves, the 964 grille is plastic, and isn't flat, like the stock decklid grilles.

I think you're right. Should I just tie it down then? I'd prefer not to use glue, or anything permanent.
