Excellent! I have been looking for an appropriate Today theme for a while. Did you make this yourself, or find an enlightened source?
I was contemplating the P crest at mid-screen with porsche spelled in the correct font up the side where the default microsoft mobile logo is. |

Yeah, I've got a program to make my own screens. Extremely easy to use. I'll post a link when I get to the office. -- Curt

Here's the link. Let's you take any image and turn it into a Today Screen. Great way to waste time at work

I'm actually tossing my HP Jornada Pocket PC out. I'm really not happy with Windows, and am going back to my trusty Palm OS.

I just did the opposite - dumped the Palm and went to iPAQ (3850)! I was happy with the Palm, but had occasional sync problems with Outlook on my desktop. Pocket PC seems to be more versatile and has more accessories available. I've got a sleeve to plug in my IBM Microdrive and transfer & view large photo files from my camera while on the road. I've also got various Word reference documents stored on the iPAQ. I suppose these things are possible on the Palm too, but it seems better integrated with Pocket PC. Not only that, but Bill Gates needs the money ....

I just got the new Ipaq1910 by HP. As a veteran of the Palm (last one was a Vx) I was quite impressed with the new Ipaq. A very easy transition to the new system. I was especially impressed with the price. Under $300.00 with all the full blown options. I like the ability to add on a SD memory card. I have a 256 meg on order. This will give me alot of MP3's to listen to while on the road.
I am very pleased ![]() ![]() ![]()

Pocket PC 3650 user here. That themegenerator kicks ass. Just posted the kiddies pic on the iPAQ.

Now, in addition to the real-time GPS/Maps plug-in for use while driving the P-car (getting back on topic), we can also a infrared temperature sensor, OBDII diagnostics program, and chip reader/programmer. The ultimate P-car gadget!

I just converted from Palm to the Pocket PC as well (Palm III to Toshiba E335). The Palm OS is simple, easy to use, and STABLE. The Windows based Pocket PC OS is more powerful and it's easier to transfer files back and forth with your PC, such as if you like to have Word and Excel documents with you. It also has the some of the same drawbacks as Windows for the PC. For example, sometimes a program will hang requiring a "soft reboot," which isn't a big deal since it's doesn't erase any of your data or programs. Still annoying though. Sometimes a program that has been exited will still remain in memory, which can also be fixed by a soft reboot.
Overall, I'm happy with the switch though. |

I'm of the opinion that the Windows Pocket PC platform is unstable. I had three of my programs corrupt on me. That's why I dug out my Visor(phone). That's the way to go. I'm going to get either a Handspring Treo 270 which runs GPRS (fairly high speed) or wait for the new Kyocera which will run on PCS2000, which is fast. It is great having web access and e-mail on the run as I have with my Visorphone.

I love my PDA,
My sons have each got my old palms. My wife my IPAQ. I how have an XDA - Phone and PDA running MS OS in a smaller package than an IPAQ. So I have a phone, a PDA, wireless internet access (GPRS) and every 15 minutes it syncronises my (exchange based) email over GPRS - all in one device. Got to loooove technology.

Steve, I can try to make something out that photo later today. But I don't think its horizontal format is going to work well. It will either need to be distorted or cropped to fit the PDA screen. -- Curt
