wind noise ????

i freind to me give me this parts because they can not install it, it is for reduice noise to the door frame...
did some of you guys used it ...
i try to install it on my car and i miss something...
give to me your instruction before i destroy it !!!!

I purchased those exact same parts for my restoration. #3 are for qind noise and fit over the screw wholes. #1 fits on the middle vertical window frame near the bottom of the small window. I belive it is to give a better fit fot the frame. #2 I could not figure out.

BTW, how is it living in Miami with the Porsche? Does your A.C. work good enough for out there?

I was pretty much raised in Miami and now am in CA. While my AC works very nice here, I'm not sure how it would hold up in Miami. My brother wants to eventually get a similiar car as mine, but I don't think the heat will allow it..

Nice living in the Miami climate! I went to University of Miami and stayed.

I am is the middle adding a front condensor to my car which originally only came with a rear. I hope this helps because the heat is difficult with a black on black car.

i try to place #2 in the back of the frame door and i can not see how to fix in the good way...

Number two was a mystery to me as well!!!

Even with new door rubber seals all around (the proper name escapes me), those little pieces of plastic made no difference, other than the screw, access covers. Some one actually found a remedy for the wind noise coming in just under the A pillar in the door, but the lout never posted a pic.

To install #2, simply place it on the frame and slide it down into position

To install #1, you will need a new plastic rivet that goes in the hole. (on 964's, it is a larger press in piece).
Before you start, pick up some black urathane (SP?) from an auto glass shop. After removing the old number 1, make sure that the little wrap around part of the plastic piece did not break off. If it did, use pick to get it out. Also, remove some of the old urathane on the frame

Now to install #1, place a thin layer of urathane on the frame and the plastic clip. Using a pick, push the qtr glass seal back and see if the wrap around piece will slide into position w/o breaking off. If it won't go in w/o breaking trim away 1/2 of the part that goes in behind the qtr glass seal. Seat the #1 piece to the frame. Install plastic rivet.

To also help reduce wind noise, check that the clear door plastic is in good shape (replace if necessary). Another place for wind is the seam where the top of the door meets the bottom of the glass. There should be a piece of tape that goes along the top of the door frame.
