Need help finding engine sheet metal
I have looked far and wide for engine sheet metal for my 78 SC and no one seems to have it.
the problem is that mine is all ratty and rusted in two of the panels. I hae played with the idea of fiberglassing the bad spots but I dont wan to go through all the labor. any Ideas??:p |
I have an extra set, probably from a carb'ed car. I'll dig around and try and find it tonight. Which panels do you need?
Also what about welding it up and grinding it smooth? |
Too thin in many spots and again I dont too much time, so findng a fabricator and explaining what i need done is not an option. As for me, I cant/don't weld.
But thanks for the option. |
133t9eek Please Let me know if you want to sell the whole set if it is rust free and no damage I will buy all of them from you.

Norm,
I'll dig it out tonight and see what condition it's in. |
Thanks Tim

Jamie,
Since you have both SC and carb tinware is there a difference? |
Yes, but its slight. They should be interchangable with a slight mod to the heater hose routing. The most different sections are the most rearward tin that crosses by the engine mount and the two side sections on the fan.
There is also another set of tinware that is used for MFI. It has the opening section for the pump drivebelt. Not sure about the late SC or Carerra. |
