Question Care and feeding of the new beast

So the parts for the 2.7 went off to the rebuilder two days ago, we're finally seeing some forward progress on putting my '74 911 together and getting it in on the road.

One of the things I'd like to do before I get the car is put together a list of routine maintenance procedures and intervals so I can make sure that I'm taking proper care of it. I'm soliciting comments on things I should be aware of and add to the list. I have the owner's manual for the car (which also has a list of maintenance done, so I have some history), but there may be modifications or additions to the suggested schedule. Any thoughts on this issue?

Jason

P.S. Do you prefer to run dinosaur or synthetic?

Do a search on Engine Oil or Dino Oil, you will find a thread a mile long! You may want to pick up Bruce Anderson's 911 performance handbook, it gives you all 911 engine care info, maintenance, etc.

Thanks Ronin for the pointer to the thread. Duly noted. I think I can handle the suggested break-in procedure.

Concentric,
I have a '74 also. I hope you enjoy the heck out of it and get alot of fun miles behind the wheel. Good luck!

Thanks, I'm sure I will enjoy it. I've certainly enjoyed thinking about having it Maybe another three weeks, and I'll be behind the wheel.
