Here is an email I just got from my father. It's not exactly topical but I can't think of a better place to ask. Actually, the last line makes it topical right?
Forgive him he's an old man. I just can't persuade him to buy a 911. The line below is in reference to a Mercedes Vert I sent him pictures of. He said Beautiful car, but I'm afraid it might become a money pit. My email 5 word email back to him was...

I was thinking that after the holidays, I might look to sell my passat and look to get a deal on something recent but used that may be a good bargin - like a Volvo or Sabb convertable. If I could get something low mileage for about 5 to 10K more than the Passat, it would be worth it.
