Hardcore CIS resources
Okay, I'm really anal rententive and I want to learn exactly what every part of the CIS system does and how it should be tested and adjusted. I want to know stuff like exactly where the meter plate stop should be adjusted and how you know that the decel valve is perfectly adjusted. Also I'd like to learn how to test the pressures and understand what the readings really indicate.
So given that. I have a good general knowledge of how all the parts work, I'm lacking the hardcore and Porsche specific stuff. Is there a good book or other reference I should pick up to educate myself more? I'm probably just way too spoiled now though with 101 and the engine rebuild book :) Pat |

Get the Bosch FI & Engine Mgmt. book by Charles Probst for about $20 and you will get the info you want on CIS and other flavors of FI used on Porsches and other marques as well. Frequently referred to as the "Bosch Bible"

Thanks for the references guys. I'll start checking these out.
