86 930 intake manifold removal
Are there only the 6 bolts (2 on each intake port) that hold the intake manifold to the case? If so what is the trick for loosening and then lifting off the manifold?
I don't want to bend anything! ![]() Thanks

corrosion between the long intake studs and the manifold can make 930 intakes very difficult to remove. penetrating oil helps soften the corrosion, given time. on more than one ocassion, i've had to cut a stud below the intake to get it off. engine out is easier for the stuck ones, more leverage room than when it's in the car.

Thanks John...The engine is out which makes things much easier and I will try lots of penetrating oil. Thank goodness this is a winter project and I am not in a hurry...
Regards
