Pedal cluster help
I'm using 101 projects as well as the tech section of this site but I'm a little unclear on detaching the brake master cylinder from the actual pedal. What parts actually seperates? If I remove the 2 nuts on the actual cylinder in the sterring well area and disconnect everything will I be able to pull the cluster out? Any danger of loosing brake fluid?
Car is 1974 911 2.7L coupe. Thanks.

It will come right out the way you described. The little "bar" that goes to the Master Cylinder isn't attached to the MS, it just pushes on it. You will need to remove the linkages, of course.

Wait, I just re-read your question, now I have a question. Are you trying to remove the cluster or the Master Cylinder?
If it's the cluster, then no, no brake fluid will run out, just don't disconnect the lines to it. If it's the MC that you're trying to remove, then yes, you will need to drain the fluid. I would re-build the cluster with the bronze bushings while it's out. Only about $15.

Yea, its the cluster, not the MC. Got the bushing kit from Pelican, tackeling some of the small projects now that the weather here in the northeast is starting to get stinky. Thanks guys for the help!
