Make it stop...Its getting cold please help
OK. I am having a problem of air coming in through my dash (alot of air) I have new seals around my hood, I have stuffed rags behind my dash( to attempt to slow down the air) and if you could see my smuglers box you would wonder "what was he thinking?". Anyway has anyone had this same problem and how can I make it stop?
 |
Are your vent flaps open?
|
Sorry for asking, but is your hood is actually closed. You said that you've installed new seals (why?), maybe, due to their stiffness you aren't getting a complete closure.

where exactly is the air entering the cabin? The guages? The vents? Do you have a windshield? lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist. Do you know where?
|
I am thinking it may be the fact that the windshield is missing...but the air is coming through the dash not the big hole.:) But really I am thinking that the air flaps are not closing. I was driving it home tonight I removed the clock while I was doing 70 and I had a 70 MPH wind coming out of the clock hole. I may be missing the duct work from the fresh air vent. I will investigate tonight and let you all know

I finally got mine all back together last night. I got my missing the cable clips from Pelican. Anyway, I have a bra and that keeps the trunk lid from closing all the way. Still, after I reconnected everything I have no air infiltration to speak of. This is the rig. Or a couple of threads with the heating and duct setup.
