911 Carrera muffler selection

I have a 86 911 Carrera 3.2 that I
restored and I also sent the engine to get rebuilt which is
working super but I also put on a Borla single inlet dual 4 inch outlet muffler that was cool for a while but now I want a muffler thats not so noisy when you're inside the car. Its a good muffler and I think it does keep the resonance away but its just a bit too loud too often.I want a muffler that can still be deep and mean sounding but can let me listen to music decently or let me cruise comfortably. I need something in between the Borla and the stock muffler.I would like any advice you guys could give me on choosing a muffler. It does have to be dual exhaust because my rear bumper has 2 cut outs.

Thanks,

Kevin

I'm real happy with my Dansk dual out. I have a cabriolet - the dansk is just a low enough rumble - but isn't obnoxious. Now above 5K it screams. below then you can even carry on a conversation no problem up to 75 mph - that's with the top down.

PM me with your email and I'll send you a sound file of it starting - much more gurgle/burble

I've done some muffler research recently because I needed one for my 3.6 I believe that the muffler you describe (sport but not too loud) is a Dansk. I do understand that the single out is quieter than the dual out. I've seen people complain about resonance from the B&B and others, but I never saw any complaints about the Dansk. The Dansk is also much less expensive than most. I wanted things pretty quiet so I ended up buying a stock stainless Dansk for a 74 and modifying it. The muffler seems to be good quality but the project isn't quite done yet so I can't tell you how it sounds. Search the archives for muffler discussion, there is plenty of great info.
