I sat in a nice car last night.

The local Porsche dealership had a 40th birthday party for the 911 and turned on good wine and food. The evening was great watching old '70s and 80's footage of 911s racing on the big screen while talking bull**** with other 911 guys. They had a GT3RS there amongst the other GT3s and it really is quite a nice car. Sitting in it I thought "Ummmm, so this is what I'll be driving in 10 years".

Ha, I got there early and parked the SC right in front of the building so everyone got reminded of what a real 911 looks like.

I haven't been out in 2 weeks or so, but I came very close to ditching work yesterday and heading out. Woke up to offshor winds and temps in the 80's. But I had a project that I had to get done. This weekend looks stormy, so surf will have to wait for another day...

Temp's in the 80s!!! How can it be, it's been snowing up north

Actually the weather has been stink around here. One day it's summer, the next day it's winter, and this weekend is going to be windy.

I remember from my last trip to Wellington that there was a car museum somewhere within reasonable driving distance (I was 6 years old at the time, can't remember too much). Do you know what it's called or if it's still there?

Yep, it's still there. It's Southwards car museum and it's on the north side of Paraparaumu. Something like about 30 or 40kms from Wellington.

Last time I was at Southwards there was only the one 911. And it was labled wrong! There is some interesting stuff out there though.

Yea the site only lists the one 911 as well. Just found out last night that my Dad was good friends with Mr Southward. The things your parents fail to tell you.......................!
