Yeah, I know what happened.

It is called CARMA. Maybe next time you will be nicer to your good old friend.

Does it work when you are at a stop? Maybe it just got to hot. (the tranny that is) Mine has done that in the past.

Or maybe the 901 does not like the 2.4 HP you are putting through it..

I have a 901 in a 914 race car but the same has happened and it was due to the joints in the shift linkage moving ever so slightly. 1st and reverse seemed slightly easier to get into at the same time. Especially the clamp joint on the splined shaft that attaches to the shifter. I started using a Rennshift (James Adams in TX) and it has a much better clamping force on the shift rod and has stops that take the load off the linkage.

Talked to some experts general consensus is a linkage adj. I use a FAB car shifter and switched back from all solid mounts to rubber mounts. That and the combo of T7 elevation change could be the problem. Ill jack up the rear and go through the gears in my garage and see if I can adj it out
