testing defroster grid??
 
Is there a way to test a defroster grid to be sure it will work? The window is not in the car at the moment.

Sure. Hook an ohm meter to each end of the overall grid and test for continuity. Check each line the same way, being very careful not to break any line with your pointers.

Don't test it like a 9v battery... :p
