Apparently, Dauer is still producing their 962-based roadcar.

Now that's cool!

And just enough room to run to the market for a loaf of bread and a 1/2 gallon of milk.

BR,

Kurt

P.S.: Sounds like you are really enjoying the Cayenne - I hope to join the ranks of owners soon.

The beauty of the powerplant in picture number 3 is overshawdowed by the *brilliance* of the obnoxious yellow stripes in picture #1...

With all the talk of the Carrera GT V10 and it's performance, it's sort of interesting that this 20 year old technology blows it away in many respects! Yeah, that livery's a bit - shall we say - loud .....

And you won't regret a Peppervagen - believe me!

Oh yeah these street converted 962s are great. I'd rather have a 962 than a Carrera GT. The 962s won LeMans AND they're 6 cylinder boxers..... All hail the flat 6

At € 1 million each i think they'll paint it in any damn color you want...

Imagine that car in flat-black! *that* would look like darth vader's personal earthly transportation. You could go up to the 'ring scare the heck out of the new CGT owners

Those cars are sweet, but from things that I have read and seen the 962 would probably not be that easy to drive as a daily driver. The GT1 was supposed to have been much more comfortable and easy to drive. Maybe since these have been converted to street cars things have changed to make them easier. If I had virtually unlimited funds I would, of course, have one, and a GT1 and a CGT, but I bet the CGT would probably get the most street time.

Michelin has developed for this car special tires that are LEGAL up to over 400 kph !
That is great news, I will put a set on my 911, and like that, I can legally hit top speed (a mere 140 mph) without any fear of the cops. LOL

Nah, black would be nice but a nice coat of GUARDS RED would make a clear statement to all vehicles in the way of forward progress!

So are these things Federalized? I can't afford one, but if I could it would be nice to know that I could go hunt down prancing bulls and horses...

Grady -
In that car, you could hunt anything that didn't have afterburners.

I know, I have the 911 & Porsche World magazine article on the original Dauer 962 cars. Since originally reading that article I've used those cars as a judge of super car status.
Now if someone could just get a street legal 917 based car going...

That's for the Bugatti eb110 that he rebuilt from the chassis which where abandoned when the previous bugatti went bankrupt in the mid-90's...

It's still a vicious car, not as fast the 962 but less than half the price...
