Question Sunroof panel removal question...

Howdy-

I'm going to spritz the headliner with some magic dye to make it black and pretty again.

I'm curious if the sunroof panel can be removed seperately without pulling all the windows and dropping the headliner. I would like to dye the sunroof piece of the headliner seperately, and replace the 3 seals as well.

I've unzipped the big zipper on the headliner, but I don't see anything real obvious...

Thanks-
BG

Open the sunroof about half way, and then unsnap it from the front, working your way towards the back.

I'm assuming your talking about the headliner part of it, I would like to get the whole sunroof out. Partly becuase I want to stretch and reglue the headliner where it folds over into the sunroof opening, and I can't do what I need to with the sunroof there.

Thanks...

Remove the headliner piece to the panel, then there will be two allen head bolts on either side. remove these and the sunroof panel itself can be lifted out.

careful when pulling the sunroof out. there are these sharp ace little tabs that will scratch the paint real bad like. dont ask me how i know.

Something forgotten is if you are going to remove entire sunroof panel make sure you either tape down or remove the pop up wind deflector assembly. It gives you a lot more working room when removing the sunroof.

Thanks. I got it out last night, and its actually pretty easy. I also found a ripped corner of the sunroof portion of the headliner dragging along in the track causing a little unnecessary wear on the motor...
