Oil Lines Needed?

Hi Gang,

I just finished installing my jailbar cooler and hardlines. I need the hoses from the thermostat to the tank and engine now. I have the hardline for the engine.

This is a 71 car. Is there a difference with the hoses out there and the earlier vs. later tanks? The tank is, of course, a 71 tank.

There is a difference. Your tank has a 26mm fitting, later setups had 30mm. The easy way to do this is use the 30mm hoses from a 74. I assume you are using the 74-89 style thermostat and lines.

You will need a 26mm to 30mm adapter at the tank.

You will also need a 30mm union at the case.

With that, the 74 parts are a simple bolt in.
