Happy Turkey day to all of you.
I've searched and can't find this issue before but if someone remembers an earlier post, point me towards it. Below the rear moveable quarter windows on my 73 is a piece of trim. This trim has screws that attach it to the body outside of the quarter window. It also has a channel to go over the bottom lip of the window opening. Is there a seal that goes under this piece of trim? I don't see any listed anywhere and there is body putty currently under my old ones but the previous paint jobs make me suspect.

Fritz-
I don't think that there should be a seal there. There should be some little black spacers. Mine also had some grey body putty (I think, to hold the spacers in place). -Scott

I don't have pop-outs (PO put fixed windows in for whatever reason), but mine don't have a seal. The only difference is the trim that you speak of doesn't have a lip that goes over the raw edge of the body. It just goes up to the lip. But, I've had it off and there's no seal.
BTW, I will be switching back to pop-outs some day. I have most of the stuff. Better air circulation! No A/C ![]()

Scott is right, there is no seal but there are spacers that look like the rubber washers that are used for fixing leaking faucets. They fit under the screw holes and the screws go through them. From what I remember they vary in thickness, I belive the ones toward the front of the car are thin and they get thicker toward the rear.

I found black body putty around various places of my 1/4 windows to allow a blended attachment, especially at the rear upward trim curve..
didn't find any seals.......Ron
