Just bought a PCar

I have just recently found this site and was impressed by the amount of information the members have posted. I have owned a 67 912 for the past 15 years restoring it little by little. It was about 95% finished when a friend came upon a 1983SC cabriolet converted into a 1992 C2 body. He did not quite appreciate the car and was willing to part with it at a reasonable price. I decided to sell my car and buy the SC. I sold my car on ebay to a gentleman from North Carolina. It was a tough decision, but as I was rocketing the SC home today with the wind in my hair, sun on my face, grinning ear to ear I knew that I made the right choice. I look forward to posting quesions, reading the insight, and meeting a few of you Pelicanheads!

Welcome to the board, David. I am a fairly new member here myself and have found a great deal of help on my current restoration project on an '83 SC coupe. Get some pictures up so I can see what I'm aspiring to.

The Cabs are a blast! I have a '95 and it is the greatest feeling cruising at 90....oops..(fuz might be listening in)...legal highway cruising speed with the top down!

Welcome,

-Ed

Welcome aboard! I too had a long term relationship with an older long hood and made the move to an '83 Cab. I found the older car never got moved after that so reluctantly I let it go. I still miss it but the SC Cab is a blast to drive.

David,

Welcome! Don't worry, it's "normal" to keep going out to your garage just to take ANOTHER peek. ...and that grin you described will last for a long time!

You're right Travis.

"Honey, I'm gonna run out to the garage to get a roll of toilet paper, were' down to the rollers in here again".........my wife thinks I have chronic intestinal problems, but it is actually just a symptom of the darn Stuttgartian Sickness.

Travis, you are right! I was just out in the garage "checking things" and I've had mine 10 years!
