Brake questions

Last week when I took my 79 SC out for a quick spin, I noticed that the brakes seem to be grabbing. I could stop the car on a hill, put it in neutral, and when I took my foot off the brake it wouldn't roll downhill. After I drove it a few miles, the problem went away. Last summer I made an emergency brake adjustment, but I didn't notice any symptoms at the time. I’m wondering if the colder weather (car is in Colorado) is locking up the e-brake cable. Any ideas?

Could be the flex brake lines. When worn they tend to swell up internally and block the fluid passage.

You could pinpoint the offending brake line by jacking up the car, apply and release the brake and see which corner is still partially applied. If you haven't tended to the lines for awhile, it might be a good idea to replace them all.

It could also be a caliper piston hanging up from excess crud buildup.
