930 Brakes - Need Exploded View
 

Planning the 930 brake upgrade. Calipers are on their way to Steve Weiner for machining. Will be using his front rotors and hats (Brembo) and factory rear rotors w/ a 23mm MC and no proportioning valve. I've purchased new hardware, including front bolts, spacers, bearings and races, but could use an exploded view to confirm spacer placement, etc.

Mike, I doubt if the 930 brakes factory schematic will be the same for your application. It's very simple. The fronts are installed like factory rotors with the veins oriented pointing backwards at the 12:00 point. The calipers require longer bolts with a total of 2 washers on each bolt at the inner portion of the calipers to make the caliper centered on the rotor. Torque to about 55ft/lbs. A new brake line need to be installed. The back calipers require an aluminum spacer that is installed on the inner portion of the newly tapped holes. Longer bolts are also needed. This is problably the most difficult portion since the space for a socket is very tight down in the trailing arm. You can either use an allen type bolt and cut down a key to acces it or use a traditional bolt and cut down a spare socket to fit. Take time to bend the brake line and recheck after you install your wheel for clearance at the rims inners edge. Use a brake line bending tool from any supplier.
