No hi-beams

Three weeks ago, somewhere between Phoenix and Charlotte, my high beams stopped working. Low beams, turn signals and flasher all work. My fog lights also don't work, but I think I am responsible for that when I removed one for adjusting.

I have check the fuses and even replaced them. I thought it might be in a bad turn signal switch that had been slowly going bad for sometime, so I replaced that this morning. Still, no hi-beams. The headlights are H-4's. Is there a relay I am missing that may have died? Any other areas to troubleshoot?

Any and all ideas welcome!

I've had the same problem, on and off, for a while too. Do yours turn back on after some time? Mine sporatically don't work, while lo-beams are always fine.

regards,

BTDT - your turn signal switch needs to be replaced or repaired. The little contacts in there get badly corroded from the high current flowing thru them.

The long-term fix is to install a headlight relay.

Jon, rears are fine.

Thom, replacing the switch was my expected fix also. Did that this AM. Still no joy.

Going to the local P-Car dealer and will try replacing the relay.

Just got back fro the P-Car dealer with a new relay. Still no hi-beams or fog lights. Horn does work.

The insert for Fuse Box 1 is gone so can someone tell me if there is fuse there I should look at.

Thanks.

Fuse block #2 (eight gang); fuses 1 and 2 are high beams, left and right respectively. Fuses 3 and 4 are low beams, left and right respectively.

Double checked all fuses and replaced high beam fuses again. Tried the lights again ans still no high beams. But this time I had no running lights either. After checking all fuses again, I decided to pull the OFF/ON switch for the headlights and make sure all connections were still there from the new turnsignal switch.

Well 2 wires were loose. I thought I plugged them to the correct male spades and checked the lights. Running lights are back, but on second look, I either attached one wire to a multiple spay were it doesnt belong or a wire has disappeared.

Can someone now describe for me the wire colors to spays on the off/on switch? This is driving me crazy!!!

Thanks again.
