Narrow body flares
I'm in the middle of installing sc flares on my narrow body and I'm wondering if there is any market for narrow rear flares ( rust repair , body damage ) ? Thanks

There may be a very small market for them with the SWB racer types who want the small flares for their no-flares body, or someone who has damaged that specific area of the fender in an accident. In any case, they aren't worth much- maybe $50 I would think? I have some hanging in the garage myself that I haven't even tried to sell. If you find someone who needs more than your pair, let me know.

![]() They are the small (7"?) flares that were standard on the '69-73 911 rears. When installing the steel RS or SC or Carrera flares correctly by butt-welding, they are scribed and cut off right along the weld line. You would follow the same procedure installing them on a '65-68 SWB, "no-flares" car. The biggest problem with this is that unless the car is also being converted to LWB at the same time, the torsion bar removal holes will be about 2" too far forward if the fender arch is centered over the wheel.
