Undercarriage refreshing

Hi, just a couple questions regarding freshing up underneight my car. The car is a 77 911. Regarding the undercoating, does the old undercoating need to be completely stripped off before I apply where the undercoating is missing. For the most part, the undercoating is in great shape but there are a few spots that could use a bit of touching up. I was thinking too wire brush off all the loose stuff in the areas of concern and then recoat. Any tips?

Any signs of rust I will POR-15 first. I noticed a little bit of rust forming on the bottom of my gas tank. Is that ok to POR-15?

I also pulled the stablizer bar off in the front, is that going to be a pain to put back in? Any tricks.

Thanks,
David

undercoating

I have found that where I thought I had solid undercoating it was hiding some surface rust. Other areas had greater rust. I already knew that I had rust (because I could see through the floor) so I started just removing those areas. The more I got into it I decided to remove it all. I use a propane torch and scraper then wire wheel with a grinder.
