Got the duck on. It fit well. I need to mount my engine compartment light, then she's ready to go to the paint shop. A net reduction of 29lbs of rear wieght!

Dane: Got it from The Racer's Group (Getty Design is the real mfgr). The quality is first rate, and it look just a little adjustment via shimming at the hinges. The fit was really good. Plus, I got to take out the second strut I added for the Carrera tail, now I have a spare.

Beautiful Ed-welcome to the ducktail gang. I never get tired of looking at your car--can't wait to see it all painted up.

Ed,
Your car looks awesome! I like what you did to your targa bar in addtion to the polished fuchs. The ducktail will look great once you get it painted. I'm thinking of back dating my C2 and throwing a duck tail on. BTW, clean your garage, it's a mess! ![]()

Pollished targa bar looks great on an '84
I am surprised at how good that polished targa bar looks. I usually object to out of period mods. No this one.
Can you tell me what kind of prep you had to do after removing the paint? |

Shaun: "No close-ups for you!"
- The Soup Nazi Will: B&B headers with a Fabspeed muffler setup. TT_Targa: THe bar was like that when I got the car. I think it's stock, the car was ordered special color and trim from the factory. The reason I think it works on my car is 'cuz all of the other trim is chrome/bright, and it is a deeper red. My RetroRod.

James:
The new tail was 11 lbs on the scale. The stock Carrera tail/lid combo was 36 lbs. The condenser that is not making it's way back on (at least at this time) is 4 lbs. 40-11=29 lbs of fat cellulite gone!!

It's a "match to sample" from the factory.
Same price as advertised on TRG site or on Getty Design. Tha main mount for the condenser is off of the hinges, so yes, I could remount.
