I think it was the Red & White combo... The Green and white looked the best IMHO...

I believe the original plan was to make 'em tangerine with black graphics, but that fell by the wayside. Seriously.

Peter Morgan in his book "Original Porsche 911" says "The most popular colour was light yellow" (page 49) and goes on to say that Gran Prix white was a special color (probably the next most popular??).

I happened to be reading that chapter last night.

Go dark! the contours look like crap in white...JMHO, of course!

Silver at the lightest, viper green is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool, and House of Kolors has some really neat super dark metalics and pearls.

Have fun with it!

If it's already silver metallic - keep it like that!

Silver is a beautiful and classic colour.

Still this blue one isn't bad either

repaint 73 rs

I'd also keep it the opriginal color if it was mine, however I love the look of this black rs. It's right hand drive!! Owner is a member of our local DE PCA. This shot was taken at our club picnic last year. Enjoy!

My '73E came in silver metallic originally, and as I am converting it to the RS look, it seems fitting to keep it silver since no real RS was delivered in silver. I am using blue graphics with it and I think it will look great. Witness this R-Gruppe example:
