Question Anyone bought from 20th St. Auto?

Has anyone delt with 20th Street Auto in Phoenix? They have a set of 8x16 fuchs that they say are "used but in good shape and have been nicely refinished". I have not seen pictures of the wheels and I was wondering if anyone has delt with them before.

I've bought 4 930 calipers and 2 9 x 16"s from them 2 years ago. I couldn't say enough good things about them. They emailed photos of every item and let me check them out before purchasing. Everything came as described. Paid $2000 for the whole deal. Items were packaged and shipped properly. The Fuchs were already polished, so it made it easier to match. I lucked out since they had just got a wrecked 930 in that day and I was the first to put an offer on the items. Other's have had experiences that don't match mine, maybe the'll chime in. All I know if I need a part, I'll call them before PartHeaven. Their prices are better and they usually have the item in stock.

i am in the phoenix area. first have you seen the website they have? compair the prices they are selling items for or what they ask for , to me they junk at high prices, maybe someone got a good deal but i really dont see a good deal on there website at all. i have called them a couple of times and all i got was rudeness. i would never personally buy from them or even get parts from them. i wanted to pay such high prices i would go to porsche and get oem parts

I've bought 2 sets of track wheels (phone dials/cookie cutters)from them. Their prices were just a little lower than the local German salvage yard in San Diego. The wheels were shipped and arrived on time and as represented. I'd deal with them again.

They get a thumbs up with the stipulation that you may pay a liitle more. But, for what they told me, they will guarantee the part for straight. If you find, and can prove otherewise, they will exchange it. A couple of other places I have dealt with had me scared a bit. First off, they always only had one, take it or leave it.

And two, I guess they couldn't very well exchange it, but it was enough of an ordeal to get the first part, I could only pray it would be right. So far it has been, but no confidence. So, I would deal with 20th Street if they still hold to their guarantee.

Have bought several things from them and they are always good to work with and helpful! They have a good rep in the Porsche world.

Have used them a couple of times. Pretty straight forward and did for me what they said they were going to do. I continue to call them looking for odd parts.

Just picked up a ton of interior items for 9 Magazine's Porsche 944 project car.

Larry and the guys are first rate, and will always call on them to check on things!

When I had a rear wheel bearing lock up on my Carrera destroying the hub I called them. I got the part from them in 3 days at a fraction of the cost of new. When looking for used parts I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call.

Just a word of caution there, get some really detailed pics from them first. I just bought a set of black Fuchs from them. When I called ahead of time I got the same thing, ‘got lots of really nice used ones, exactly what you’re looking for.’ Well when I got on site I was less than impressed. We did find a complete set that needed a little work but had to do a lot of digging. But, the thing here is they did work with me and I got what I was looking for! Now, they did have a few really nice polished fuchs, but that’s not what I was looking for. They will send any of the wheels out to be polished too if that’s what you’re looking for. Cost is about $50 extra per wheel. Beyond that I have gotten several parts from them and would recommend them. Larry does comes off a little gruff but once you get to know him he’s a really good guy. Every time I go down there he is usually swamped with calls and questions so I think he gets frustrated.

I bought a 3 litre engine from them last year and I got a fair deal. Continued to call them for parts but gave up after awhile because he'll look up the price in the factory book and then give you a price thats close to 3/4's of that. Usually more expensive than just waiting for a reasonable deal. I think if he sold things a bit cheaper he would get way more business. But if you need something right away then what can you do? Got to support it, o well.
He's got a pretty cool cat too that wonders around the office, so when he's busy you'll have something to play with.
