Seine shift kit with 901 gearbox
Anybody running this setup and if so is the shift feel superior
to a standard 901 shifter? I am considering replacing the 915 box on my 1969 car so that it is period correct but am wary as I never enjoyed the feel of the 901 shifter which I had on a previous car. |

You can use the Seine kit with the 901 tranny but must use a 915 shifter.
I have both a 901 in a 65 912 and a 915 in my 85 911. The 901 even with all new bushings is sloppy at best, I put the Seine kit in my 85 with new bushings and now it is tight and fool proof.

I hadnt thought of a Rennshift shifter because I was thinking of using my
current setup of a 915 shifter with factory short shift and Siene kit. From what I can see on the web I would just have to remove the reverse lockout. Maybe I would be beter off keeping this shifter to use with my 915 box in the future and look at getting a Rennshift shifter. Is a reverse lockout an option yet on the Robotek? |
