Question Cold Idle

Hi,
I have an 83 SC that when started from cold will start OK but the idle hunts from 500 to 1100 rpm for about a couple of miles (then the idle is fine) I thought this was just how the WUR worked, but
perhaps I have some vac leaks? Also I have oil leak(s) on the LHS of the engine. Any ideas on best way to locate. I know the oil seal by the fan is leaking, but the vlave covers/tubes look OK.

I am having the same problem. Do a search for Idle hunts there were a couple of good answers on my thread-- I just have not gotten around to taking the advice yet.

mine used to, but my wrench adjusted something to make it better, maybe the fuel richness?
